Elisabetta Dejana

The Dejana team has leading expertise in the field of angiogenesis. Dejana was among the first to characterise the architecture of endothelial cell-to-cell junctions and their role in angiogenesis and vascular permeability to cells and solutes. More recently, the group has directed their attention to circulating endothelial stem cells and the mechanisms that induce their mobilization from bone marrow and their homing to damaged areas.
